Job Title(s) Educational Requirements

TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR,

TECHNICAL MANAGER
Bachelors Degree

Becoming a supervisor or manager in a technical company usually requires a technical bachelor's degree. Most managers and supervisors have BS degrees in engineering, but this is overkill in most situations. Managers and supervisors do require some technical knowledge, but not as much as an engineer.

MCC Electronics graduates with AAS degrees can improve their opportunities for advancement if they earn a bachelors degree. But that can take a long time, and often involves duplicating much of the work you have already done in earning your AAS.

Our partner ASU noticed this problem, and developed the BAS degree for those who have a technical AAS degree, and would like to advance to management. The BAS is a technical bachelors degree, but it can be earned much more quickly than a BSEE degree, because your MCC AAS degree transfers in as a block of 60 credit hours. This is equivalent to the first two years of full-time study at ASU. Almost all your MCC credit transfers to ASU. This is the fastest path to a bachelors degree!

Also, the BAS includes management courses which is extremely useful if you will be managing people and projects.
