Many open jobs for ET's require one or two years of "experience". When I graduate, can I get one of those jobs?

The most important thing to realize is that a job listing is often a "wish list" representing the ideal candidate that the employer would like to hire. But the ideal candidate often doesn't apply; companies don't always get what they want. In the current market, there is a high demand for Electronics Technicians, and not enough candidates to go around.

So if you believe that you are a good fit for the job, but are missing some requirement, go ahead and apply anyway! Do not eliminate yourself from consideration.

For example, many job announcements will require "two or more years of experience." If nobody meeting this requirement applies, then the company may very likely hire a recent grad. Or even someone who is close to graduation.

Also, remember that there are often many job openings for current electronics students, so you can sometimes get experience in electronics while you are earning your degree. Most of our current students are already working in electronics. When you graduate, this experience looks very good on your resume.
